Then two halves of the brain may have an intellectual argument about the IMAX 3D this creature relevance – Godzilla. Excerpts from a tête – à – tête between the cerebral hemispheres …
Left hemisphere : Why was so humorless ? You have a movie about a giant mutated lizard walking in twos and supposedly this super reptilian biped shoot EMP is to fight monsters to save the day for humanity. A movie with that story can not take himself too seriously.
Right Brain : Okay. But they gave Godzilla fresh capacity cosmic rays. A cousin laser breathing dragon breathing fire. Friend! That’s great final !
LH : Yes . But cool does not compensate for the lack of sensitivity . These mutts (Massive unidentified terrestrial organisms ) did not look as threatening as they were meant to be . They were the only pair of its kind and all I really wanted was to procreate and find a safe haven for their children. It was basically the same story as the hero , Lt. Brody (Aaron Taylor -Johnson ) and his wife Elle (Elizabeth Olsen) trying to protect your family .
RH: Heh heh . That touch Vulcan -esque heads and exchanging some electrical signals between the male and female MUTO was so emo!
LH: Why is cutting the first fights are held ? It was terribly irritating whenever Godzilla assumed MUTO flight director Gareth Edwards decided to cut the human drama. Cloverfield worked because it was a movie “found footage” . But Godzilla is different. It’s a big ticket , monster against monster, sci-fi action thriller . You can not entertain based on one epic final battle . That will not keep the attention of your average action addict .
RH: But this was never meant to be the middle of the action monster movie . There were promises to be another fun action romp as Pacific Rim . He walked deliberately and to project an artistic nature.
LH : So defective !
RH : Human beings should do their part man. How else can we empathize with the sense of tragedy ? The director had to show the futility of human efforts were compared to the giant tweezers and battling these monsters a hundred feet.
LH : And none of those people, who were presumably see life altering visual multi-story tall monster rampaging buildings in Japan , San Francisco Hawaai and never think of getting their mobile phones when you click a picture or record a video ? In the era of Facebook , Twitter and Instagram.
RH: The continued shooting these mutts EMP no. It would have fried out gadgets . Pity people do not use most SLR cameras.
LH : Wow! What do you think the father of Brody (Bryan Cranston ) Joe track cliche mad scientist ? Where is the logic in it being ignored by the authorities , the company that is overseeing this discovery? Everyone knows he was the most qualified person who survived the initial horror. And then spent six years trying to find answers on the site to the deck. But they ignored him for a good 15 years.
RH : I think film is called freedom. That’s why movies are usually seen and enjoyed with suspension of disbelief . How else can you digest the fact that monsters have been living since the Jurassic age and is kept alive by feeding on the radiation from the Earth’s core . Is science fiction gibberish and makes the world goes round and round film .
LH : At least they got the hit CGI and visual effects .
HR: Precisely . Who needs a credible story in an amazing premise? It was great that the art and science of filmmaking has advanced leagues beyond the time when a man had to wear a rubber suit and stomp around in a miniature city. Godzilla benefited greatly thanks to the technology of computer graphics .
LH: And yet , his / her face looks like a carbon copy of the Kraken in Clash of the Titans .
