Pleasant on the ears, but no better than any average music score out there

Music Review: Heropanti

Composer: Sajid-Wajid (with Manjit Singh Ral)
It was a bit of a surprise to not find much publicized low whistle song on the soundtrack Heropanti. A quick search on Google reveals that as it has the whistle riff Hero, for which Saregama have rights, which could not be part of the album. It was released as a single under the aegis of Manj Musik. Means ex singer Manjit Singh Ral RDB has composed the music. This funky version is not a patch on the classic tune Laxmikant-Pyarelal energy but has a lively, yet appealing.
Manjit has also composed the song Pappi (that is in the album). He has sung and Manjit Raftaar rapper, who has also written the lyrics. These songs appeared regularly on British bhangra underground scene. The risqué lyrics and composition have a fast paced certain appeal among young people.
Pakistani Singers Mustafa Zahid Bilal Saad and have been credited with writing and composition Tere Binaa. Sung by Mustafa, which is consistent with the Sufi-rock music he has been known type. Tune to the raw intensity of his voice.
Now we proceed to the songs composed by the official composers Sajid-Wajid. Rabba sung by Mohit Chauhan has a been-there quality to it. The composers are on the rail family distress and depend on the singer to carry out the pathos, which does dutifully Mohit. The singer becomes Tabah their charm too. Consumption over drum loops with guitar riffs that makes you feel composers are playing with various sounds of securities in hopes of winning the jackpot. Mohit’s voice carries the day again. The remixed version by DJ Angel is faster and run for public disco rhythm.
Raat bhar reminds him of his composition Teri Meri Kahaani Mukhtasar. Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal voices make it the choice of music. Melody is the core strength of Sajid-Wajid and the song reminds you how good they are when they are playing to their strength.
Overall, OST Heropanti is pleasing to the ear, but still a disjointed album. It suffers from a lack of uniqueness and it would have been better if Sajid-Wajid were solo composers.
